A Message from Pastor Dan
You’re invited to a new Sunday morning worship gathering at Northtown.Church, meeting at 10:30 AM at the North Kansas City YMCA.
From the moment you arrive, we want you to feel at home. There’s no dress code, and you don’t need to know what to expect ahead of time. Just come as you are.
Everything will be explained as the gathering goes along, and your questions are always welcome. After the service, you’ll have an opportunity to talk with me or one of our other leaders about anything you would like to know.
Your next step is simple: let us know you’re planning to visit. Text me at 816-677-6521 with your name and whether anyone will be joining you, and I’ll make sure you have all the information you need.
In case we haven’t met, I’m Dan Cogan, the lead pastor of Northtown.Church. My family and I are Kansas City natives, and we love calling North Kansas City home.
We can’t wait to welcome you!

Does Visiting a New Church Feel Complicated?
You are not the only one. Here are some of the concerns people often have before visiting a church.
-
Visiting a new church can feel unfamiliar. You may wonder where to park, what to wear, where your children will go, or what will happen during the service.
At Northtown.Church, there is no dress code and no expectation that you already know what to do. We will explain everything as we go, and someone will be available to help you from the moment you arrive.
-
You may be concerned that you will be judged, overlooked, or pressured to act like you have everything together. Perhaps you have felt out of place at church before or are unsure whether your questions will be welcome.
You can come as you are. You will meet regular people who are still growing, still learning, and still in need of grace. You do not have to pretend in order to belong.
-
Maybe you have experienced shallow teaching, unhealthy pressure, hypocrisy, or hurt in a church. It can be difficult to risk becoming part of another community.
We want to earn your trust through clear biblical teaching, honest relationships, and genuine care. Your questions are welcome, and you will never be treated like a project or a number.
-
Life and faith can become isolating when you try to navigate them alone. Without meaningful relationships, it is easy to feel disconnected, discouraged, or spiritually stuck.
You were made to know what is true, to be known by others, to become more like Jesus, and to live for something bigger. No one should have to follow Jesus alone.
